Flybe today announced it is to operate a new service from Ireland West Airport Knock to Birmingham starting in October 2013.  Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport, Michael Ring TD was at the airport to celebrate the announcement of the new service today.  Flights will go on sale on flybe.com tomorrow Saturday 21st September.

Starting on October 27th 2013, Flybe will operate four weekly flights from Ireland West Knock to Birmingham with fares starting from €45.00 one way including taxes. This expansion of Flybe services is good news for the West of Ireland and is Flybe’s third new service from the airport following the continued success of their services to Manchester and Edinburgh.

Commenting on the announcement, Flybe’s Head of PR, Niall Duffy said, “Flybe is absolutely delighted to launch this new route to Birmingham, commencing October 27th. Given that we are already the biggest airline at Birmingham airport, when we learnt of the opportunity to offer the route it was an obvious and natural extension to our network. We look forward to welcoming thousands of new passengers onto the service and are pleased to be able to step into the breach’

Flights from Ireland West Airport Knock to Birmingham start from €45 one way including taxes and go on sale from Saturday September 21st  on www.flybe.com* and will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday. For further airport information log onto www.irelandwestairport.com.
